Commissioning Editor, BBC Documentaries
Richard programs long-form observational documentary with some elements of contemporary history; constructed documentary; docu-soaps; documentary series - for BBC ONE, TWO and FOUR. That is approximately 250 � 300 hours per year of which 80% are full commissions, 15% co-productions and 5% acquisitions. Richard has commissioned and executive produced a number of award-winning shows, including two BAFTAS for Best Documentary and Best Documentary Series (Orphans of Nkandla and National Trust), 5 Royal Television Society Awards for Best Documentary, 2 Grierson Awards, and 3 One World Awards.
