The design for the Media Innovation Awards 2007 has been unveiled. The cast glass and screen printed pyramid has been designed by Evadne James, a student at Plymouth College of Art and Design, and she now has to make 13 copies ready for the awards ceremony in March.
Plymouth Media-Partnership invited students at the college to come up with designs for the awards, and Evadne’s was selected.
Karen Stockdale of Plymouth Media-Partnership said: “Evadne captured the spirit of the awards with her design and we were unanimous that this was the trophy we wanted.
Evadne, who is studying for a foundation degree, said: “I decided to show how all the different facets of the creative media culminate in a point which is the awards ceremony. I’m pleased with how it turned out but now I have to get to work to produce the 13 which will be used at the awards ceremony.”
