THE OSCARS OF THE MEDIA INDUSTRY HELD FOR THE FIRST TIME IN DEVON AND CORNWALL

Individuals and businesses demonstrating flair and talent in the screen-based media industry in Devon & Cornwall have been recognised and rewarded at a glittering awards ceremony held last night in Cornwall in celebration of the first ever Media Innovation Awards.

The overall winner and recipient of the prestigious MIA Trophy was HMC Interactive - a Plymouth-based multi-media production company specialising in the creation of interactive digital products for a wide range of industries.  The company was presented with the trophy in recognition of its outstanding creative and innovative contribution to the industry despite being only five years old.  The judges drew particular attention to the Purple Planet exhibition for Cadbury World.
