Nominations 2009

13th February 2009

Media and Design companies from across the South West peninsula are celebrating after being nominated for the 2009 Media Innovation Awards.

The awards received a record 143 entries from across the region – and the judges have shortlisted 46 entries.

Entries were invited from companies across the whole of the South West, and Karen Stockdale of award organisers, Plymouth Media-Partnership, says she's delighted at the quality and diversity of the entries this year, "The judges really had their work cut out deciding which entries to shortlist.

The quality of entries was very high and the fact that the short-listed companies come from all over the region, from Poole in Dorset to Falmouth in Cornwall and from Bristol to Plymouth proves that the South West region is a centre of excellence for media and design.”

The awards recognise the innovative use of media and design in the region, and members of the media, design and music cluster groups were invited to enter the 17 categories.

The winners will be announced at a gala award ceremony to be held at the Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol on 12th March.

Tickets for the event cost £40 or £360 for a table of 10 and include a welcome drink, 3 course meal, and entertainment.  You can book and pay for your tickets online, for more information go to "Register for Gala Dinner"
