The winners of the 2014 Media Innovation Awards have been announced at a glittering ceremony in Plymouth.2014 Media Innovation Awards – The Results!
 

Creative people from across the South West gathered at a glitzy awards party which took place earlier this evening at Plymouth University. The Media Innovation Awards, hosted by Sam Smith from the BBC, saw the presentation of 12 trophies in celebration of the innovative and creative work produced by companies and individuals in the South West.

The event was hosted by Sam Smith from BBC South West and there was some fabulous entertainment by Adam Isaac (from the BBC series The Voice). The winners came from right across the South West – three based in Bristol, four from Plymouth, one based in Bath, one from Somerset, two based in Exeter and one from Dorset.

The winners of the 12 category trophies were:

The Porter designed by Mytton Williams based in Bath

GAMES category
CBeebies Playtime produced by Mobile Pie based in Bristol

INSTALLATION/EXHIBITION/EVENT category
Many Worlds written and directed by Alexis Kirke, Produced by Pen Arts Contemporary Music Festival at Plymouth University. 

MARKETING category
Family Focus produced by Picture Box Productions based in Somerset

PRINT category
Aura Launch designed by Believe In based in Exeter

VIDEO/FILM category
From Every Angle produced by BDH based in Bristol

WEB category
Mason Zimbler Rebrand produced by Mason Zimbler in Bristol

CREATIVE CRAFT category
Head to Head produced by Redweb based in Bournemouth

NEW TALENT category
Lauren Tooze from Believe In based in Exeter

STUDENT OF THE YEAR category
Jonathan Brough from Plymouth University 

OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION category
Korash Sanjideh from Plymouth

Judged by a respected panel of international media and design experts, this is the eighth year the awards have been held and the annual event serves as a celebration of the South West’s creative industries and a chance for media businesses, educators and students to network. Organised by the Media Innovation Network, the sponsors this year include Plymouth University, the University of St. Mark & St. John, Falmouth University, Tellonline, Altitude, Thirdman, Silverstream, and Dom Moore.
